Hi,

Everything is in the title. I have a list of companies EPS and a list of analyst EPS forecast but I need ONLY the U.S companies and the U.S analysts!

Is anyone knowing or has a idea, I would be happy to hear…

Best regards.

hi,

IBES has US firms and international firms in separate tables. See: https://wrds-web.wharton.upenn.edu/wrds/tools/variable.cfm?library_id=40

Tables ending with ‘US’ have US firms, tables ending with ‘INT’ are non-US firms. So, the companies that match up with US tables are US firms.

Hope this helps,

Joost

hi,

Ok—I was assuming that you were using WRDS where data for companies on US exchanges versus other exchanges are in separate datasets. I am not sure how other data sources are organized.

best regards,

Ok so do you know how to identify only U.S firm when you have only the CUSIP?

Thank you.

hi,

CUSIP is a firm identifier that is used all over the place. Many datasets have this. For example, the CUSIPM (master file) has lookup tables for issuer and issues. Also, main datasets like Compustat, CRSP, IBES, etc carry CUSIP. That of course you would need access to such datasets.

Best regards,

Joost
