Joost,

I think we need a link to home page with the examples (wrds.us) on the forum index page (next to the icon of Expression engine). That could be very handy to switch from asking questions and reading the exmaples.

In addition to that,  i think more shorter tutorials (easier ones) are helpful for beginners like myself. Moreover, i think the order of these tutorials are important.

1. connect to Wrds with SAS code
2. download data
3. sort data
4. link between different data base
5. combine 1-4 we can do a event study

something like that. This is one man’s opinion. if they are bad idea, just ignore them.

Thanks,
Zenghui

hi Zenghui,

I decided to make simpler tutorials in this format:
http://www.wrds.us/index.php/tutorial/view/google_market_to_book_and_return_on_assets_versus_industry

It is in a single (long) file, but I discuss each step separately. Cutting large tutorials into many short tutorials may end up being difficult to manage.

best regards,

Joost
