Hi everyone here,

I heard that some 10K forms are not filed in text format anymore (interactive 10k). I wonder if the download/analysis perl code will work for such format 10k forms.

any word is highly appreciated!

hi Clark,

To me it looks like that the interactive 10-K is ‘powered’ by the xbrl, which is in addition to the ‘regular’ 10-K. Look at the Google 10-K’s for example:

Overview - separate links for ‘regular’ 10-K and ‘interactive view’:
https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?action=getcompany&CIK=0001288776&type=10-k&dateb;=&owner=exclude&count=40

10-K files (notice the separate data/xbrl files)
https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1288776/000128877614000020/0001288776-14-000020-index.htm

In short: the interactive views are in addition to the html/text filings (and not a replacement).

best regards,

Joost

That is great news! Thanks a lot Joost.

I will start to learn perl example here. You are so kind to provide these examples to the public!

Best Luck!
