Joost,

Thanks a lot for your edgar data set and the download perl program.

Last year i made a matlab version of this.

It is very useful, and very interesting to me as well.

Thank you so much for sharing this!

Hi Joost,

I am new to perl. I wanted to download SEC form 20-F filings. In the link: http://www.wrds.us/index.php/repository/view/25

data are only updated to 2012. How can I download the 2013 filings?

Thank you very much,

Luckygirl

Hi Joost,

By the way, can I extract form 20-F using the provided code? This question may be stupid, but I still want to confirm before I invest time into understanding the code.

Thank you very much,

Luckygirl

hi Lucky,

I have recently updated the SEC filings to include 2011 and 2012. I prefer to include 2013 filings when we are in 2014 (or 2015).

If you need the form 20-Fs of 2013, you can download them here: http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/full-index/2013/

It is straightforward to find the links to 20-F forms only; drop all records with another form type other than 20-F.

best regards,

Joost

Hi Joost,

Thanks for the reply. I was a bit confused about how things work.

Is the file in “http://www.wrds.us/index.php/repository/view/25” constructed using information contained in http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/full-index/2013/?
In other words, you made the file in “http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/full-index” readable in SAS so that we can use it directly?

Thank you very much for your help. I’m a very beginner as a perl user.

There is something wrong with the link. Does anyone keep and share the perl script on the website? Thanks!
